Project Het Klavier: replacement of emergency lighting with central management

Het Klavier is the multifunctional town hall of the municipality of Loon op Zand. When replacing the emergency lighting, the municipality sought a system that could be managed centrally and remotely.

How do you manage emergency lighting in a building that is in continuous use, with luminaires in hard-to-reach places? Raymond Nigg, property manager at the municipality of Loon op Zand, explains the desire for a new emergency lighting system: “We were looking for a system that can be read remotely, so that technicians don't have to go onto the work floor every time to check if there is something wrong with the battery or the lighting. That brings peace of mind to the office.” Our solution The wireless SmartZ emergency lighting system from Zemper is ideally suited for large buildings and high ceilings, such as Het Klavier. In that case, you don't want to manually test all luminaires every month. With SmartZ, inspection rounds are a thing of the past: - Luminaires are tested automatically and periodically. - Test results are stored centrally, in accordance with applicable regulations. - Managers automatically receive a notification in the event of malfunctions. - It is immediately visible via a floor plan which luminaires require maintenance. In this case study, we observe the commissioning process and show what this yields in practice for both management and installation.
